Euthanasia

Should euthanasia be legalized?

Euthanasia seems very strange for us because in most of countries, euthanasia is illegal and no one does it around us. It’s only allowed in these following countries: Netherlands, Belgium, Oregon in the U.S, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Albania, Holland, Switzerland and Thailand. Euthanasia is a kind of painless helping a terminally ill person to die. It is also called assisted suicide or mercy killing or mercy killing. Basically, euthanasia is used by lethal injection. It can make people die peacefully. In some perspectives, euthanasia is a good option for those people who want less pain or the family or individual who can’t afford the medical expanse. But still lots of countries haven’t accepted it because they think it is too hasty to a human life. I think euthanasia should be legalized because I think that’s a form of respect to human lives who wants to end the life instead of being suffered and it also can give people a new definition of the death.

I think euthanasia is a kind of respect to people because death is sudden. We never know that when we will die of what. Many people are regret that sometimes they can’t meet their kin immediately when they pass away. Disease seems so cruel that it deprives people’s abilities they used to have. They gradually are desperate till they die. If we choose the euthanasia when someone gets the fatal disease, he can get the family together and talk to every family members in the last period, spend more time with his (her) wife or husband. First they will confirm the date of the euthanasia, and the doctors will come to someone’s home to inject the medicine. People all want to die in peace and do not willing to be very troublesome to their son and daughter. On the other hand, financial problem is also a common issue for many sick people. Someone unfortunately gets the serious sickness which requires a big sum of money. So some people cannot afford the medical expense. So euthanasia is the best choice otherwise they will be suffered in the disease.

Why I said earlier that euthanasia can give us a new definition. Deciding if you want to be alive or not is a personal decision. Neither the doctors nor the government has the power to decide if you should live or not. Since it is not their life and they are not in your situation, they cannot make that kind of decision for you. It might sound like suicide, but again, that is our problem, not theirs. They give us the liberty to decide our job, our family, our religion, and even our sex preference. Why should they not give us the right to decide if we want to live or not? That should be the first right before all the ones I have mentioned. It is not logical that we can choose in all those other decisions if we cannot first choose to live or die.
Conclusion
I have never been in a situation where I have to decide whether euthanasia should be applied to someone or not. But I think that choosing how we want to die is not an option that we all get. So be sure I'll help someone on choosing when and how he wants to die. Just imagine yourself in a similar situation. There is no point of waiting for someone to die if there is nothing the doctors can do about it. If the person wishes to die, we should please him with their hope and wishes. This is the reason  why euthanasia should be legal for anyone who desires it.
